Burnish FAQ

What types of cards can I design in Burnish?

Burnish supports premium business cards, membership and VIP cards, invitations, collectible cards, tarot and oracle decks, greeting cards, and gift cards built on the current 70 × 120 mm format.

Which print finishes can Burnish preview?

The current finish library includes gold, silver, rose-gold and holographic foil, spot UV, raised UV, emboss, and deboss. Finishes are assigned per element and exported as aligned production separations.

What files does the editor export?

A Burnish print package includes a bleed PDF, vector finish SVG files, 300 DPI color and mask PNGs, an SVG dieline, a MakePlayingCards preset, specifications, and the editable design JSON.

Can I send the export directly to a printer?

The package is structured for professional handoff, with trim and bleed boxes, dieline, and separated finish masks. Always confirm stock, color profile, minimum line width, tolerances, and finish naming with your chosen printer before production.

Will the 3D preview exactly match the printed card?

The preview helps evaluate placement, reflection, paper texture, and relief direction, but final results still depend on stock, foil, ink, plates, pressure, lighting, and the printer's production process.
